New Footing and Show Ratings For HITS Ocala ~ Winter Circuit 2015
OCALA, FL (October 9, 2014) HITS, Inc., is pleased to announce new footing is currently being installed in the Hunter Rings and hunter schooling areas at HITS Post Time Farm in Ocala, Florida. The Main Hunter Ring and schooling area will maintain their current, very popular footing and the remaining hunter rings will now contain the same.

Also new this year is the first three shows of the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit will now be USEF National Rated, for a total of ten consecutive rated shows, running January 14-March 23, 2015. Exhibitors will have the advantage of added value, flexibility, convenience and more opportunities to earn USEF points and to qualify for the HITS Championship.
The new footing is a blend of felt and sand combined, providing both cushion and shock absorption across an even, consistent surface. This creates a superior competition environment. Thomas Struzzieri, HITS President and CEO noted, “Horse and rider should be confident in the footing they are riding on. Continually updating our competition surfaces makes it easier for the horse perform his job at the highest level.”

"Footing is a priority at all HITS facilities," he added. “Finding the right solutions are crucial to the success of our shows, and we are proud to offer surfaces that ensure safety and a competitive advantage.” The continued grounds improvements further confirm HITS Post Time Farm’s status as one of the finest Equestrian facilities in the world.
Struzzieri also expressed how pleased he is with the new USEF sanctioning for the first three shows. “We are excited that the entire ten-week HITS Ocala Winter Circuit will now be USEF rated. It’s just what our customers have been hoping for,” he remarked. “With the new ratings, the expanded schedule allows us to better serve the needs and competition schedules of our customers. We will continue to offer an incomparable variety of classes and divisions throughout the circuit so exhibitors will have more opportunities than ever to show, qualify and earn points at all levels--all in one place.”
HITS Ocala will again offer the $100,000 Sullivan GMC Truck Grand Prix, $50,000 East Meets West Hunter Challenge and qualifiers for all of the HITS Championship classes. 2015 also marks the return of Monday Night Show Jumping, when the Great American Insurance $1 Million Grand Prix takes place on March 23. The second jewel in the HITS Triple Crown will be a tremendous finale to the winter circuit, featuring the country’s best riders as they battle for one of the richest prizes in American show jumping.
