MEHOT is a provider of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). The MEHOT veterinary building will house the official show veterinarians from East-West Equine Sports Medicine for the eight-week show season at HITS Thermal Desert Circuit. East-West Equine Sports Medicine will be led by Dr. Duncan Peters, Dr. Lori Bidwell and Dr. Jillian Mills.

“MEHOT’s air-pressured hyperbaric chamber is the only one of its kind in the United State. Our primary focus is to provide state-of the-art treatment with the latest technology and industry leading safety features to ensure patients have access to the highest quality of care possible,” said Dr. Kelly Victory, a Partner at MEHOT. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to provide this simple, safe and highly effective treatment modality to the competitors at the Desert Circuit veterinary clinic and to partner with Drs. Peters, Bidwell, Mills and the East-West Equine Sports Medicine team at such a prestigious event as the HITS Desert Circuit in Thermal.”

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is an adjunctive therapy that delivers a high concentration of oxygen in a pressurized environment. This therapy has been used for decades in human medicine with remarkable results, and more recently has been made available for animals. HBOT offers distinct therapeutic benefits, promotes rapid healing from numerous ailments, and aids in recovery from training and competition. This therapy is beneficial for both high-performance equine athletes as well as pleasure horses.
