On Sunday, May 12, 2024, HITS Chicago’s Classic Day was in full swing to conclude Lamplight Spring Classic I. In the $2,500 1.15m The League Jumper Classic, Stephanie Renguso earned the blue ribbon on her 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare, Nora B (USA Aleria M).

Second place went to Priana Malhotra with VDL It’s Andiamo, a KWPN gelding by Andiamo Z. Rounding out the top three was Andrea Klinefelter with Loony Star De La Bastide, a Luxembourg Warmblood gelding by Landor S.

Stephanie Renguso stands for her winning presentation.

“Nora B was actually supposed to be a broodmare, but my trainer saw something more in her and asked if I wanted to give her a try, and I immediately fell in love with her,” explained Renguso. “She loves her job so much; she loves to jump, loves to show, and she truly is my heart horse.”

Renguso has had a long history with Lamplight Equestrian Center.

“I’ve been coming to Lamplight since I was a little kid,” she said. “The location is unbeatable. The rings and the footing are a favorite for the horses, and in the summer, the trees and flowers are breathtakingly beautiful.

“I’ve been riding with Red Coat Farm my whole life, and my parents rode with Mary Goldman before I was even born,” continued Renguso. “I want to thank the Goldmans for being the absolute best in my family’s riding journey.”
