March 17, 2024 – Ocala, FL – One final full day of jumper action kicked off early on Sunday morning as the atmosphere buzzed at HITS Post Time Farm. Jumper competition was fuller and fiercer than ever throughout the winter circuit’s ninth week as athletes flocked in from around the country in preparation for the final week of sport. A busy week concluded with one final featured event as 37 pairings turned out for the $24,500 Horseflight Jumper Classic.

In a show of true St. Patrick’s Day spirit, Ireland’s Jordan Coyle laid down one more dominating round for a win in the class aboard Keep Me With You N.C. An impressive number of entries advanced to Catsy Cruz’s immediate-return short course, but Coyle continued his winning ways and laid down the gauntlet as he stopped the clock in 37.05 seconds.  “Keep Me With You is a new horse for me and she’s still young at only nine, but is one that I’m really excited about,” stated Coyle of the Falkirk Farm’s nine-year-old KWPN mare. “She was acquired by my wife, Kim, and her family’s Falkirk Farm at the end of last year. She jumped the two-star 1.35m at La Silla in Mexico in November and then came to Florida where we have been slowly getting to know her at the national level.

“She has all the right traits to make a top jumper,” he continued. “She’s careful, scopey, smart, and as we saw today, she’s quick. We are focused on all those things coming together consistently to produce results. She’s a special one for the whole team and for sure one to watch.”

Tim Maddrix came closest to catching Coyle, but couldn’t quite close the gap as he and the Empire Show Stables’ 13-year-old Selle Francais mare (Quick Star), Boreale de Talma, stopped the timers in 37.23 seconds. Just slightly off the pace, Tracy Fenney and MTM Farm’s eight-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Casall), S&L Cesam, jumped into third in 37.45 seconds.

As is standard with Classic Sunday, a full morning of junior and amateur classics precluded the day’s headlining event. The  $7,500 Vitaflex 1.45m Junior/Amateur Classic kicked off the competition inside the Grand Prix ring. Corri Goldman rode to the top once again as the fastest across the short course and the only rider to produce a double clear effort with her eight-year-old Selle Francais mare (Kannan), Gattaca De Vains.

A whopping thirty-three combinations contested the course for the $5,000 Pyranha 1.25m Junior/Amateur Classic, but once again there would be only one double clear effort to take the win. Felcia Russell and her 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding (Air Jordan), Darkhan Du Val Henry, posted a time of 36.81 seconds to take the top call. The final junior/amateur classic win of the day went to Kendra Pierce and her 16-year-old Warmblood mare, Printings Pola Z, in the $7,500 Signature Brands 1.35m Junior/Amateur Classic with a fault-free effort of 35.27 seconds.
