Lamplight Equestrian Center Welcomes Horsemen for another Great Season!
The first week of the HITS Chicago Spring Classic Series was host to USEF-Rated Hunter/Jumper competition at the beautiful Lamplight Equestrian Center. Exhibitors were excited to be back competing for top prize money in featured competition to start the spring showing season in the Midwest. Highlights from this week included the $25,000 HITS Grand Prix and $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby. Read on for a recap on the winners! Taking home the first blue ribbon in featured jumper competition on Thursday was Maggie Jayne and ARIZONA ODF in the $5,000 1.35M Jumper Classic. This team bested the field in one of two double clears to secure top honors in a time of 39.271. 2nd Place: Lauren Ditallo & ZERO GRAVITY [44.003]
3rd Place: Molly Talla & HIRADO BLUE [4-Faults, 37.440] Joining the winner's circle in the $10,000 HITS Open Jumper Prix 1.40m on Friday was Caelinn Leahy with a one-two finish. Leahy finished first aboard ZARKAVA to claim the blue ribbon in the second featured jumper class of the week. 2nd Place: Leahy & COLDPLAY 31 3rd Place: Jayne & UHURA ODF The highlight of the Open Jumper Division for the week was the $25,000 HITS Grand Prix on Saturday, where Leahy and ZARKAVA continued their winning streak.
