The Second Week of the Lamplight Spring Spectacular Series has Concluded!

The second week of the HITS Chicago Spring Spectacular Series was host to USEF-Rated Premier Hunter/Jumper 4* Jumper competition at the charming Lamplight Equestrian Center. It was an exciting week that featured a $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix, $50,000 HITS Grand Prix, and $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby. Read on to catch up on last week's winners!

The first highlighted Jumper class of the week on Thursday was the $5,000 1.35 Jumper Classic hosted in the Grand Prix Stadium. Leigh Nanda and EL CASPER secured the win in one of two zero-fault finishes in the jump-off round in a quick time of 30.50.
 
2nd Place: Stephen Foran & COLOUR YOUR DAY [31.91]
3rd Place: Elizabeth Schumann & PRINCETON [34.66, 8-Faults]
 
Claiming the blue ribbon in Friday's $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix was Hayley Banas and FARRAHS FLY'S. This was the only pair to complete the jump-off with a clear round against stiff competition in a time of 46.34.

2nd Place: Collin Reynolds & CHICCO W [RET]
3rd Place: Genevieve Munson & CONTENDRO STAR [67.27, 4-Faults]
 
 
On Saturday, Munson emerged victorious in the $10,000 HITS Open Jumper Prix aboard CHARLENE. Completing the jump-off with no faults, Munson secured the first place position by over 3 seconds with a finishing time of 36.88.

Concluding an exciting week of Jumper competition was the $50,000 HITS Grand Prix on Sunday where Munson claimed her second big win of the week in aboard ZONDERLING. Munson was unstoppable in a time of 36.914, the fastest of three zero-fault finishes in the jump-off, which secured top honors to cap off a successful week.

Hunter competition at Lamplight Equestrian Center featured a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby where riders and horses looked exceptional. Taking home the winner's trophy on Friday was Meagan Murray-Tenuta and NANTUCKET earning impressive scores of 87 and 92 in two hunter rounds to finish with a total of 179. The duo claimed the win by a whopping 9 points!
