That Concludes the Lamplight Spring Spectacular Series!

The third week of the HITS Chicago Lamplight Spring Spectacular Series has concluded. This final week of the spring show season was host to USEF-Rated Premier Hunter/Jumper 4*  competition as well as a $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby and the exciting World Championship Hunter Rider Week. Exhibitors and horses looked exceptional in this last week of competition, so catch up on all the winners now!

Kicking off the week with a win in the first highlighted Jumper class on Thursday was Elizabeth Schumann and PRINCETON in the $5,000 1.35 Jumper Classic. This was the only pair to finish clear in the first round and advance to the jump-off to take home the blue ribbon with four faults in a time of 42.468 over the shortened course. 
 
2nd Place: Leigh Nanda & EL CASPER [4-Faults, 71.67]
3rd Place: Nanda & ELANO G [4-Faults, 78.11]
 
Leading the way in Friday's $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix was Charlise Casas aboard CHACCOLINA D. Advancing to the jump-off along with three other competitors, Casas crossed the timers in a careful 51.615 with two time faults but no jumping faults to claim top honors. 

2nd Place: Rebecca Lannoye & FURST [4-Faults, 41.72]
3rd Place: Collin Reynolds & CHICCO W [5-Faults, 50.52]
 
 
Nanda topped the field in Saturday's $10,000 HITS Open Jumper Prix aboard EL CASPER. The duo rose to victory by less than half a second in 38.339 and four faults after finishing second in featured Jumper competition earlier in the week. 
 
2nd Place : Lisa Goldman-Smolen & SOVEREIGN [4-Faults, 38.485]
3rd Place: Adeline Rohrbach & VALLADAM [4-Faults, 41.499]
 
The final highlighted Jumper class of the Spring Spectacular Series was the $50,000 HITS Grand Prix on Sunday where Goldman-Smolen was victorious aboard NIKE. Goldman-Smolen was one of two clear rounds in the jump-off, finishing in a quick time of 44.257 to secure first place.

The Hunter Ring this week at Lamplight featured two exciting derbies where horses and riders were looking quite elegant. Friday hosted the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby where Hannah Stevens took home the winner's trophy aboard DARSINO by scoring 83 and 87.5 in two rounds to finish with a grand total of 170.5. Stevens secured the win by only half of a point!

3rd Place: Sierra Steigerwald & BETCHA KNOW ME NOW [166]
 
The ring was stacked with an impressive field in Saturday's $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. Maggie Jayne and SANTIAGO secured the crowning blue ribbon by earning a 157 in the first round and a 180.5 in the second round to finish with an unbeatable score of 337.5
