HITS Garners National Show Hunter Hall of Fame Top Ten Distinction

Saugerties, N.Y. – April 5, 2022 – HITS, LLC is pleased to announce that two of its marquee competitions were recognized by the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame (NSHHF). The HITS Championship Hunter Prix Finals (HITS-on-the-Hudson VIII) and the Vermont-Manchester Classic were each named one of the Top Ten Horse Shows of 2021. As the leading producer of world-class hunter/jumper horse shows in the United States, HITS always strives to provide the best competition for horses, exhibitors and spectators.

Winners in various categories are chosen annually by the members of the NSHHF. The events or individuals with the most number of nominations are placed on ballots, which are then sent to supporters of the NSHHF to vote on their favorites. The NSHHF was founded to honor excellence by providing recognition, education and appreciation for the achievements of the horsemen and horses who have made the sport of show hunters so rich in history.

“HITS is honored to have the HITS Championship and the Vermont-Manchester Classic recognized by exhibitors, trainers, owners, and riders, as two of the top horse shows in the country,” expressed HITS Founder and CEO Tom Struzzieri. “The National Show Hunter Hall of Fame is a historic and honored institution, and we are thrilled to continue to feature premier hunter competition at all of our venues, showcasing the brilliance the discipline offers.”

The Vermont Summer Festival will once again feature six weeks of USEF Premier/4*-Rated hunter/jumper competition during its boutique horse show just outside picturesque Manchester, Vermont, July 6 - August 14, 2022.

The HITS Saugerties season will conclude with the HITS Championship at HITS-on-the-Hudson scheduled for September 7-11, 2022. Hunter competition will feature the $200,000 Diamond Mills Hunter Prix Final, the $50,000 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix Final, and the $15,000 Green Hunter Prix.
