Puttin Plus Exhibitor Party
5-8 pm

After a successful debut in 2010, The Puttin' Plus Exhibitor Party returns and will take place during the first week of horse shows and is sure to provide lots of fun for the entire barn!

Puttin Plus is located across from the show grounds and the Family Fun Center offers go carts, miniature golf, batting cages and laser tag—all courtesy of HITS! Make sure to pick up your admission bracelets in the show office.

Taste of HITS-on-the-Hudson
Noon - 2 pm

Something will be cooking at HITS-on-the-Hudson during this annual restaurant showcase that will take place at the horse show. This popular event is sure to be a crowd pleaser as area eateries will come to the show grounds with samples from their menus.

This invitation-only event for High-Performance riders will take place on The Motor Yacht Teal, the Official Charter Yacht for the HITS-on-the-Hudson Horse Shows, and will be catered by renowned Chef Ric Orlando of New World Home Cooking Co. located in Saugerties. A Bicentennial square dance sponsored by HITS, the Town of Saugerties and Heritage Folk Music.  Music by Earl Pardini and the Slide Mountain String Band.  Free to Exhibitors.

World Of The Horse
on the show grounds

World of the Horse returns to HITS-on-the-Hudson with a parade of breeds to delight all horse lovers.  Freya Farm will parade its prize American Miniature Horses in a spectacular driving event.  The Fernrock Fresians of Saugerties, NY will join our star studded line up in Sunday's World of the Horse.  This beautiful breed which originated in the Netherlands is used primarily in carriage driving and in dressage.  As a special treat, Fernrock will introduce the audience to its mare and Fresian foal.  The Root Farm Vaulting Team [www.rootfarm.org]will wrap things up prior to the Grand Prix with their magnificent display of grace and athleticism  atop horses.  Considered as gymnastics on horseback, vaulting consists of a series of movements set to music on top of a moving horse. The Root Farm, located in Verona, NY is a not for profit organization that specializes  in equine assisted therapies such as Hippotherapy, Adaptive Vaulting and Adult Rehabilitation.

So come experience the World of the Horse in the Strongid C 2X Grand Prix Stadium, prior to the $100,000 Strongid C 2X Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health about 1pm and then stay for exciting show jumping competition!

Diamond Mills $500,000 Hunter Prix Final

The $500,000 Diamond Mills Hunter Prix Final will be the culmination of more than 30 qualifying events that will take place at each of the five HITS horse shows, including Thermal, Ocala, Arizona, Culpeper and Saugerties.

Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix

HITS is very excited to announce Pfizer Animal Health as the title sponsor of the Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix, which will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011, as the finale event of the HITS Saugerties Summer Series in Saugerties, NY. The Grand Prix will be the culmination of 54 qualifying opportunities in Grand Prix events at all of the 2011 HITS horse shows, including Thermal, Ocala, Arizona, Culpeper and Saugerties.

Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix on Sunday, September 11, as the conclusion
to a remarkable and historic weekend of hunter/jumper show jumping at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, New York.

The Festival consists of four competitions featuring 600 horses competing in classes from Training Level, the first step on the ladder, to Grand Prix, the pinnacle of the sport as seen in the Olympic Games.
