Hunters Go Head-to-Head for a $1,500 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix Win

Saugerties, NY (August 10, 2016): Thirty-nine showed up to prove who was the ultimate in finesse and style in Sunday’s $1,500 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix win, but only one horse and rider could take home blue-ribbon bragging rights.

Britta Lippert of Sea Girt, New Jersey, brought home the top title aboard Quintus, owned by Rebecca Cohen. This win marks the equestrian’s second $1,500 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix victory after a win in Week V. As the last pair to show of the top twelve in the second round, they earned a score of 83. Combined with their first-round score of 82, they totaled 165 for the win.

Second place went to Hypnotic, owned and ridden by Gabi Morris of Bridgewater, New Jersey. They earned a first round score of 80, and a second-round score of 80 for a total of 162, just three points behind Cohen.

New York equestrian Brett Lieb piloting Sastune won back-to-back blue ribbons in the Platinum Performance Hunter Prix during Weeks II and III at HITS-on-the Hudson, and were hoping to continue their winning ways.  They earned consistent scores of 79 in both rounds for a total of 158 and the yellow ribbon for their efforts.

Isabelle Greenbaum of Merrick, New York, came in just one point behind Lieb with Tesoro. They earned a 73 in the first round, and garnered a major improvement in the second round with a score of 84 for a total of 157, giving them fourth.

Rounding out the top five was Jillian Rosenwasser of New York, New York, and Summer Vay-K, owned by Donna Rosenwasser. Jillian and Summer Vay-K have scored consistently in the top ribbons both at Saugerties this summer and at HITS Ocala this past winter, and today was no different. They reined in a first round score of 78.5, combined with a 76 in the second round for a total of 154.5.
