Carly Anthony and Heavenly W Win $100,000 HITS Grand Prix at New York Horse and Pony Show

Saugerties, NY. – August 7, 2022 – Carly Anthony raced to victory during Sunday’s $100,000 HITS Grand Prix at HITS-on-the-Hudson to close out the New York Horse and Pony Show. She and Heavenly W bested an eight-horse jump-off with a double clear effort that was half a second faster than second-place finishers Devin Ryan and Eddie Blue. Laura Chapot slid into third place with Chandon Blue, but it was Anthony’s smooth track and fast gallop to the final vertical that would claim the winning title.

“My plan before I went in was just to pick up the speed and keep it the whole way around,” said Anthony. “Normally, when we can pick up a good canter and keep it the whole way around and leave all the jumps up we have a pretty good time. Heavenly is sensitive, careful and loving. Everything you want in a horse. It took a little bit of time to get him to trust me and know me, but we have a lot of fun together now. I am really proud of how far we’ve come and how much he is having in the ring.”
