Brian Feigus Pilots Corragio to $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Victory for Cassandra Kahle and Emil Spadone

Saugerties, NY – August 6, 2022 – It was a packed house for the $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby during the New York Horse and Pony Show at HITS-on-the-Hudson. Corragio impressed the judges in the Grand Prix Stadium with a brilliant jump and handy turns, piloted by Brian Feigus for Cassandra Kahle and Emil Spadone of Redfield Farm. The pair’s dominating performance earned a total score of 389 to earn the winning title.

“I think it was a really nice handy course; there were some really handy options,” expressed Feigus. “I like to be really handy, I like to go for it, and being on top I wanted to close the door. The horse is incredible. There’s no horse that jumps better than him in this country. Emil and Cassie are like family to me, and with everything going on with Cassie it’s an honor to ride the horse and have the opportunity. [Cassie] is the best human being I know, and I know she will be back in the ring soon. I’ll be the first to cheer her and Corragio on in the future!”
