OCALA, FL (January 19, 2010) — Turn your radio dial to 102.3 FM when showing at HITS Ocala! Thunder Country WTRS is the official radio station of the 2010 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit, offering the very best in country western music from Orlando to Lake City.
"HITS is thrilled to have WTRS back as the Official Radio Station of HITS Ocala for the 2010 season," said Lisa Engel, Account Executive for Corporate Sponsorship at HITS. "HITS enjoys the station’s mix of music, which is played over the show grounds in the morning. It’s really relaxing to have such great country western hits playing while preparing for a day of competition, and WTRS is station that is enjoyed by families, too."
As a testament to the great exposure and audience that WTRS has provided to HITS for the past three years, Lisa recalled a story when she went into a grocery store with her HITS jacket on. When checking out, an employee at the store noticed the HITS logo and commented "Oh yeah, you’re with HITS. I hear about that show on WTRS all the time and I can’t wait to get out there and watch the Grand Prix!"
Get your singing voice ready! WTRS is once again running the Ocala is a HIT National Anthem contest. The winner will also receive a $500 check from DeLuca Toyota. This event will wrap up the Ocala Winter Circuit and will be the last stop during the winter season for Grand Prix riders to qualify for the Pfizer $1 Million Dollar Grand Prix, which will take place on Sunday, September 12 at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, New York. "This is the third year we’ve run the Anthem contest and we’re always excited for it," said Shane Finch, Operations Director for WTRS.
