SAUGERTIES, NY (April 28, 2009)—Veteran HITS announcer Kenn Marash will be featured on CNN on Thursday, April, 30 during Road Warriors, a special report on the rise of business travel in the United States.
With business travel increasing, and many professionals looking for ways to make life on the road easier, CNN.com's travel experts offer some tips to help road-weary travelers lighten their loads and make the best of their next business trip during this report.
CNN filmed Marash this winter in the announcer's booth at HITS Post Time Farm, in Ocala, Florida during the 2009 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit. Marash, who is from upstate New York, is a veteran of HITS Ocala, spending the last 14 winters in Central Florida.
During the spring and summer, Marash can be found in the Hudson Valley announcing the Main Hunter ring at HITS' equestrian facility in Saugerties, New York for the HITS Saugerties Series of horse shows or in the heart of Virginia Horse Country at HITS Culpeper for the six-week series of horse shows.
Marash typically spends 280 days on the road, at 23 different horse shows logging countless miles in his Volkswagen. "Saugerties is by far my favorite," said Marash. "It's the most beautiful equestrian facility that I have ever seen. The Hudson Valley is so beautiful and the show grounds are surrounded by mountains. I just love it there!"
"Kenn has one of the finest voices in the industry," said HITS President and CEO Tom Struzzieri. "He is a consummate professional and I am glad that he has been a part of the HITS team for so long."
Road Warriors can be seen on CNN this Thursday
at 6 AM and on CNN Headline News at 6:30 AM and 1 PM.
HITS, Inc. is a special events management company primarily focused on producing hunter/jumper horse shows. Based in upstate New York in the village of Saugerties, HITS produced its first horse show circuit in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. Since that time, HITS has grown into a nationwide company with world-class hunter/jumper circuits in California, Florida, Arizona, New York and Virginia.
