| SAUGERTIES, NY (July 31, 2007) —The group of golfers from Sleepy P Ranch, in Bartonville, Texas captured the first ever HITS Saugerties golf tournament held on Monday, July 30 at Rip Van Winkle Country Club, in Palenville, New York.
The Sleepy P Ranch is a family-owned property 30 miles from downtown Dallas and 20 minutes from DFW Airport. She was accompanied by her son Wilton Porter, who at age 11, was the youngest player in the field.
Hunter Ridge Farm's Matt Brayman, who teamed up with Troy Hendricks from Glen View Stables, said he had a great time and can't wait until next year's event. "I was going to go home to Rhode Island but once I heard there was a golf tournament I decided to stay."
"There is something for everyone at HITS this summer," said HITS' Senior Vice President Tony Hitchcock. "Already this summer exhibitors were treated to an Equine Art Gala, a talent show and a golf tournament. We have the best customers in the world here and we want to make their stay in Saugerties a memorable one."
The special events calendar at HITS Saugerties is in full swing and continues this Friday at HITS with an exhibitor party catered by Hillside Manor, of Kingston, New York.
