SAUGERTIES, NY (June 27, 2007) — When the HITS Saugerties Horse Shows return to Saugerties, New York this summer, exhibitors will be treated to
an Equine Art Gala and Exhibitor Mixer at New World Home Cooking
Co. on Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 7 pm to 9 pm.
New World Home Cooking Co. is the home of world-renowned Chef Ric Orlando and his Global Heritage Cuisine. New World Home Cooking Co. honors the flavors of the world and presents them in a unique way. The restaurant is conveniently located near HITS Saugerties, on Route 212, in Saugerties, New York. A beautiful display of Chef Ric Orlando's personally selected cheeses, fruits, colorful dips, fresh crudities, organic tomato salsa and chips, three chef’s choice tapas, five-layer brie torte and New World's famous pan-blackened string beans will be served. Also on the menu, some fine passed hors d’oeuvres including veggie pot stickers, chicken satay on bamboo skewers plus several more surprises from Chef Ric Orlando. An Open House Wine and Mojito Bar, including one specialty beer also will be available throughout the evening.
Each of the ten participating artists will display one original piece of art
during the Gala. In addition, each artist and their work will be featured
in an event catalogue produced especially for the Gala.
"New World was the perfect choice for this event," said HITS' Art Director and Event Coordinator Leslie Phillips. "Many of our customers already eat at New World and love the food. Ric Orlando was gracious enough to offer us his restaurant for this event and we know that it will be a top-notch event with Ric involved."

Show jumping at HITS Saugerties resumes on July 25 for three weeks of world-class show jumping. The "Are you a Champion?" equestrian series returns for an encore to close the third and final week of the summer series of shows on August 8-12. Participants will have an opportunity to strut their stuff in HITS' Grand Prix Amphitheater, the largest ring on the property, with the Catskill Mountains as their backdrop. The summer series concludes with one final week of show jumping beginning on September 5, followed by the Marshall & Sterling League Finals, September 13-16 when acclaimed singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega will be performing for the Year-End High Point Awards Celebration. The event will include a special, by-invitation dinner catered by Manhattan's Tavern on the Green.
HITS, Inc. is a special events management company primarily focused on producing hunter/jumper horse shows. Based in upstate New York in the village of Saugerties, HITS produced its first horse show circuit in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. Since that time, HITS has grown into a nationwide company with world-class hunter-jumper circuits in California, Florida, Arizona, New York and Virginia.
