HITS Horse Shows and River Rock Health Spa invites all seniors to the show grounds for Seniors Day on September 2

 

SAUGERTIES, NY (August 10, 2006)HITS Saugerties horse shows and River Rock Health Spa extend a special invitation to all senior citizens on Saturday, September 2, 2006 when the annual HITS Seniors Day celebration returns to the horse show grounds from noon - 2 PM.

Senior citizens will be admitted to the horse show free of charge, and volunteers from Family of Woodstock will be available to take visitors on guided tours of the show grounds. Senior citizens will also receive free show programs and posters. Parking is always free. Seniors are also invited to enjoy a free mini-massage from River Rock Health Spa in the special events tent that overlooks the jumping competition in the Grand Prix Stadium. HITS will also feature an opening ceremony for the Saugerties Youth Football League during Seniors Day, in which each team will parade around the Grand Prix Stadium. All football fans are encouraged to come and support Saugerties Football.

Show Jumping at HITS Saugerties returns August 30 through September 3 for the final week of the summer horse show series. The final horse show is expected to attract over 1,000 horses and 2,000 horsemen competing in 250 hunter, jumper and equitation classes that will culminate with the $50,000 Tavern on the Green Catering Grand Prix on Sunday, September 3. On September 4, the Maclay Regional Finals Zone 2 East Coast comes to HITS.
