Work on the footing in the Grand Prix Stadium and adjacent schooling area underway at HITS Desert Horse Park

THERMAL, CA (October 2, 2014) HITS, Inc. is pleased to announce new footing will be installed in its state of the art Grand Prix Stadium and the adjacent schooling area at HITS Desert Horse Park--just in time for the premier of the much anticipated National Sunshine  Series, October 29 - November 9, 2014.  HITS Desert Horse Park is also home to HITS Desert Circuit (January 13- March 15, 2015).

“All horsemen recognize the critical importance of footing,” noted Thomas Struzzieri, HITS President and CEO, “And we have made an investment and continued commitment to providing the best surfaces for our exhibitors and their horses.”

Footing at HITS Desert Horse Park consists of felt and sand, the perfect blend providing a superior competition surface and maximizing cushion on take-off and landing. “Basically, you want a surface that makes it easy for your horse to do his job,” said Struzzieri, “Both horse and rider should be confident the footing is even and consistent.”

The National Sunshine Series is a new endeavor for HITS, and one that promises to be successful in years to come.  “This is really the start of something exciting for us.” Struzzieri said.  “In our partnership with the Nilforushans [husband and wife team Ali & Francie], their focus will be special events, VIP services, dining and hospitality--while HITS’ experienced management will ensure standards of quality and smooth operations throughout,” Struzzieri said.  “Combined, this will create a truly remarkable ‘Boutique’ horse show experience for everyone involved.”
