HISTORY
HITS, Inc. is a special events management company primarily focused on producing hunter/jumper horse shows. Based in upstate New York in the village of Saugerties, HITS produced its first horse show circuit in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. Since that time, HITS has grown into a nationwide company with world-class hunter-jumper circuits in California, Florida, Arizona, New York, and Virginia. In January 2006 HITS entered into a private equity arrangement with Leonard Green & Partners, LP in Los Angeles. As a result, HITS, Inc. will be able to develop and execute exciting operational and strategic initiatives that both solidify its well-established position as the leader in horse show management and allow for new growth opportunities.

STRATEGY
The key to HITS' success is its strategy of producing a series of horse shows over contiguous weeks, in desirable destinations, with first-class competition facilities and unmatched, professional operations. Additionally, the company offers competitive opportunities for riders in a broad range of ages and skill levels.

LEAGUES
In 1998, with the acquisition of Commonwealth Park in Culpeper, Virginia, HITS brought back the very successful United States Grand Prix League (USGPL). The USGPL Finals are held during the last week of the HITS Culpeper show series at Commonwealth Park and many of the country's finest riders participate. The crown jewel of the USGPL Finals is the $100,000 USGPL Invitational Grand Prix–an event for which Grand Prix riders from around the globe compete throughout the year in order to qualify. All of HITS' East Coast and Arizona Grand Prix classes–34 in all, worth well over $1 million in prize money–are qualifiers for the $100,000 USGPL Invitational. Riders also must be current members of the Marshall & Sterling League to be considered for this prestigious event.
