Construction of The Great New York State Fair Expo Center, a state-of-the-art Equestrian Complex and Expos Center, is part of the “Central New York Rising” project. Under this venture, our nation’s oldest state fairgrounds has undergone a massive transformation and revitalization that will be opening this summer and will be the largest events facility north of New York City. The facility features two indoor competition arenas and two schooling areas, as well as 500 permanent stalls, permanent RV hook-ups, permanent restrooms, permanent food service and ample parking. The main Indoor Arena measures 200’ x 300’ and offers seating for 4,500 spectators.
“In this first year, we welcome everyone to come see this spectacular building that I think could be the best indoor horse show facility in the country. This year's Championship is a great way for riders to experience that "indoor" feel without the need to qualify, and to enjoy this great facility. As equestrian sport continues to evolve, it is clear to me that there are more opportunities to tap into the grass-roots level with the goal of bringing those riders up through the ranks.”
-Tom Struzzieri, President and CEO of HITS, Inc.
