CULPEPER, Virginia (July 29, 2015): The notable United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Zone 3 Tad Coffin Junior Equitation Finals returns for its 10th and 11th years at HITS Commonwealth Park in Culpeper, Virginia, for the 2015 and 2016 HITS Culpeper Show Series, HITS, Inc. announced today.

The Tad Coffin Equitation Class will take place during Week IV of HITS Culpeper on August 16, 2015, and on August 20 in 2016. Qualified junior riders from throughout the USHJA’s Zone 3, which includes Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, travel to compete in this popular class.

The Tad Coffin Equitation Finals is divided into two sections: 3’ and 3’6” which are judged as one class. The top 12 riders then return to contend in a flat phase.

“HITS is thrilled to continue this long-running tradition at HITS Culpeper. The Tad Coffin Equitation Finals give junior riders an opportunity to compete in this prestigious class and win prizes that have been generously donated for this purpose,” said HITS President and CEO Thomas Struzzieri.

In past years, participants have received an array of giveaways including gift certificates and gift bags from popular tack stores, half-chaps, bridles and other gear for those who ranked in the top places, and a Tad Coffin Performance Saddle and cooler for the winner of the blue.
