HITS Welcomes New Marketing Director Rebecca Walton

Saugerties, N.Y - March 1, 2022 -  HITS, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Rebecca Walton to its dynamic team as the Director of Marketing. Walton has spent more than a decade as a marketing professional in the equestrian industry and is a lifelong equestrian herself. Stepping into the role, her goal is to elevate the HITS brand as it continues to produce top-quality competitions for athletes of all levels across the country. 

“Rebecca is a wonderful addition to our team at HITS,” said CEO and Founder Tom Struzzieri. “Her vast experience in horse show marketing, as well as both national and international media coverage, will raise our shows and HITS brand to an exciting new level. Great things are in the works for HITS, and we’re thrilled to have Rebecca take the reins as we continue to grow.”

 

Walton grew up riding in Maryland before attending James Madison University where she earned her degree in Media Arts and Design. She started as an intern for Phelps Media Group (PMG), advancing to Account Executive shortly after she graduated from college, and in 2016 earned the role and title of Director of Sports Marketing. During her time at PMG, she covered many world-class competitions such as the Olympics, World Cup Finals and the World Equestrian Games for Phelps Sports as both a sports journalist and photographer. 


In addition to working with individual clients such as Laura Kraut, Margie Engle and North Run, she helped develop marketing plans for top horse shows such as the Devon Horse Show, the Upperville Colt and Horse Show, the Desert International Horse Park and the Kentucky Horse Shows to name a few. Walton currently resides in Purcellville, Virginia with her husband and her two young daughters. She continues to ride and compete in the jumper divisions with Oakleigh Farm, and has been a competitor in the very rings she will promote–combining passion, authenticity and talent with her new role as Director of Marketing.
