The scoop on HITS Saugerties
With the winter circuits a wrap, all roads now lead to HITS Saugerties for what is promised to be an exciting circuit, culminating with the HITS Championship in September. HITS is excited to announce that Saugerties will offer 8 weeks of competition and offer a total of $3 million dollars in prize money. Competition begins with the Spring Circuit, which consists of three straight weeks kicking off on May 21. Entries for HITS-on-the-Hudson I, II and III close April 30, 2014.

Exhibitors will have the special opportunity to purchase VIP tables in the Verizon Club, which overlooks the Strongid® C 2X™ Grand Prix Stadium, includes seating for eight and breakfast and lunch service prepared by the staff from The Tavern at Diamond Mills. Also, exhibitors are encouraged to experience the luxury of HITS Saugerties and book their rooms at the Diamond Mills Hotel and Tavern. Richest weekend in show jumping returns
The buzz can still be heard about the AIG $1 Million Grand Prix at HITS Thermal and the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix at HITS Ocala. For big-money hopefuls, attention will now focus on where it all began, the Zoetis $1 Million Dollar Grand Prix. Weekly qualifiers at HITS Saugerties include seven $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix, the $50,000 Horze Equestrian Grand Prix, the $75,000 Horseware Ireland Grand Prix, the $100,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix and the $100,000 Strongid® C 2X Grand Prix, all presented by Zoetis. With numerous opportunities, HITS Saugerties is sure to host many national and international superstars this year.
Hunter riders, both professional and amateur, will have a chance to shine in the hunter rings with weekly qualifiers for the HITS Championship. In September, unprecedented prize money returns to the hunters with the Platinum Performance $250,000 Hunter Prix Final and Diamond Mills $500,000 Hunter Prix Final.
Making its first appearance at the HITS Championship is the New York Equitation Classic, offering junior, amateur and professional riders a chance to show off during the richest weekend in show jumping. For more information on the New York Equitation Classic, visit HitsShows.com.
HITS Saugerties also offers exciting divisions for children, junior and amateur riders, highlighted by the return of the $20,000 USHJA Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumper Regional Finals September 4-6 and the Eaton & Berube Children’s Hunter Pony Final August 2-3. Making its debut at the HITS Championship, the all-new Bayer’s Legend® (hyaluronate sodium) Injectable Solution $250,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Prix will welcome junior and amateur jumper riders to jump for historic prizes.
