Are you ready for the HITS Winter Circuits?

Are you ready for the HITS Winter Circuits?
The HITS Winter Circuits are just days away at HITS Ocala and HITS Coachella; and soon HITS Arizona will be too! In preparation for this year’s Circuits, we have put together a checklist of things you’ll want to have organized so your Show Office Check-in will be the smoothest it can be!
  • It's that time of year! Make sure your horse is up to date on all vaccinations. Flu/Rhino vaccines must be completed within six months of the competition and proof of vaccination is required at all USEF Shows. Be sure to bring copies with you to the office!
  • HITS doesn’t require a Health Certificate from your vet, but we do have a Health Declaration form you’ll need to complete. You may do this ahead of time, or when you come to the office.
  • Make sure your USEF and USHJA Memberships are renewed for 2019! You can renew online at USEF.org by signing in to your USEF My Way account, or you can renew in the show office.
  • NEW for 2019, if you are 18 or over, be sure you have completed the USEF Safe Sport Training. Any owner, rider, trainer, or registered owner of a Farm is required to complete this training before they or any of their horses will be allowed to compete in a USEF show. For more information visit USEF Safe Sport.
  • Remember your Horse’s USEF and USHJA Registration too! All horses must be registered with USHJA, and beginning in 2019, all horses must be micro-chipped and the micro-chip number recorded with USEF. Fear not - HITS has a vet ON-SITE at every horse show location who can take care of this for you!  Here’s a link to USEF’s Microchip FAQ.
  • Do a little spring-cleaning and get your tack trunk ready for winter circuit! Be sure to re-stock all the horse show necessities and don’t forget to check out all of the awesome vendors that come to HITS!
  • Don’t forget that HITS Ocala, HITS Coachella and HITS Arizona all offer qualifying classes for the HITS Championship and Marshall & Sterling Finalsthat take place in September. Brush up on the qualification specs, renew your Marshall & Sterling Membership and rack up those qualifying points!
Don't miss out on any of the feature events at each HITS location this winter:
  • HITS Ocala will feature weekly Grand Prix, TWO $100,000 Grand Prix (Week V & IX), TWO International Hunter Derbies (Week IV & X), the HITS Equitation Championship (Week X), and will also be the east coast debut for the new Marshall & Sterling Team Challenge (Week V & IX); all culminating with the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix (Week X).

Mutch Equitation Championship (Week VIII), and the West Coast debut of the Marshall & Sterling Children's/Adult Hunter and Jumper Team Challenge (Week IV & VII) and all the excitement culminating with the AIG $1 Million Grand Prix (Week VIII).
